Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE PUBLISHED]

This policy explains what personal information Ridgelit collects through this website, our application form and our calls, texts and emails, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Ridgelit is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [BUSINESS ADDRESS] ("Ridgelit", "we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy, email us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in our application, we collect:

When you book a call, our scheduling provider collects what you enter there, such as your name, email address, the time you pick and any notes you add. When you talk to us by phone, text or email, we keep a record of those conversations and our notes from them. If we record a call, we'll tell you at the start of the call.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our advertising partners automatically collect some information from your browser or device. That includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that sent you to us, and the tracking tags in the link you clicked (such as UTM tags and Meta's click ID). We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to do this. See "Cookies and advertising" below.

Information from others

If you reach us through one of our ads, Meta may tell us which campaign or ad you came from.

How we use it

We use your information to:

Text messages

If you tick the consent box on our form, Ridgelit may call and text the number you gave us about your application, your booked call and the Ridgelit dealer program. That includes reminders and marketing messages, some sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also opt out by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL].

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:

All of the sharing described above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. That information will not be shared with any third parties.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how people use our site and to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel lets Meta collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and whether you applied or booked a call, and connect it to your Meta account if you have one. We may also send the same events to Meta directly from our servers. Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Under some US state privacy laws, using this kind of data to show you ads can count as "targeted advertising", or as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. To opt out, you can:

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy. That usually means while we're talking to you about the program and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you come back to us, or for as long as your dealer agreement requires if you join. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

We keep records of your consent to calls and texts, and of any opt-out, for at least five years, because we may need them to show we had your permission.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your information. Whatever state you're in, you can ask us to do any of these by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll check it's really you by matching details we already hold, and we'll reply within 45 days. You can ask someone else to make a request for you, but we may ask for proof that they're allowed to.

If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We'll answer your appeal within 60 days. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

Our site and program are for adults starting or running a business. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, such as access controls and encrypted connections. No website or system is completely secure, so we can't promise your information will never be accessed without permission.

Where your information is stored

Our service providers store and process information in the United States, and some may also do so in other countries. Wherever it's processed, we expect them to protect it in line with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we'll tell you before it takes effect, for example by email.
